Terms and conditions
The conditions for using Webtools accounts, projects, billing and APIs.
Effective date: 13 August 2026
The service
Webtools provides authenticated project workspaces, commerce and content administration, project access controls, APIs and related platform operations. Available capability areas depend on the project configuration, permissions and active service entitlement.
Webtools is not a storefront theme or website builder. You remain responsible for the frontend, business content and customer journeys you connect to the platform.
Accounts and project access
You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Project owners and administrators are responsible for invitations, member roles, API keys and access granted within their projects.
Storefront customer accounts are separate from dashboard accounts and do not grant access to the dashboard.
Your projects and content
You retain responsibility for the products, content, media, customer data, enquiries and other material submitted to your projects. You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to use that material and instruct Webtools to process it for the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of prices, product information, inventory decisions, order actions, shipping methods, discounts, published content and communications to your own customers.
Billing
Current active plans, amounts, intervals and included items appear in the authenticated project Billing page. You agree to the plan details shown when an authorised member initiates payment. Project access may depend on an active entitlement where billing is required.
Payment status is confirmed by the backend after provider verification. A browser return or redirect alone is not confirmation that payment settled.
Storefront transactions
Merchants are responsible for the commercial relationship with their storefront customers, including payment collection, taxes, shipping, fulfilment, cancellations and refunds. The current Webtools checkout flow can create order and payment records but defaults to manual payment handling. Recording a refund in Webtools does not itself initiate a provider refund.
Acceptable use
You must not use Webtools to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, abuse or probe the service, evade access controls, mislead customers or store prohibited, fraudulent or harmful material.
API and security responsibilities
Publishable keys may be used in browser storefronts according to project configuration. Secret project keys must remain in trusted server environments. You are responsible for revoking exposed credentials, configuring allowed origins where applicable and ensuring your frontend handles authentication and personal data securely.
Availability and third parties
We work to keep the service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may depend on infrastructure, payment, email, storage, domain and other third-party providers that Webtools does not control.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or suspended for non-payment, security risk, abuse, legal requirements or material breach of these terms. You may stop using the service subject to the billing and retention terms that apply to your project.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent allowed by law, Webtools is provided without warranties not expressly stated in a signed agreement. Liability limitations, governing law and dispute terms require final legal review before these terms are treated as a production agreement.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date will be updated when revised terms are published.
